A sinkhole opens in a sleepy university town. It mirrors the growing tensions between two artist friends, Oliver Leung and Basil Jung, after the latter decides to move away with his partner. As the sinkhole swallows streets and cuts across campus towards the town’s beloved art gallery, Oliver and Basil rush to invent new ways of maintaining their friendship. Amid other residents’ panic and fascination, Oliver alone starts notice the sinkhole’s other, stranger effects.
